Cosmic by Frank Cottrell Boyce

Liam has always felt a bit like he's stuck between two worlds. This is primarily because he's a twelve-year-old kid who looks like he's about thirty. Sometimes it's not so bad, like when his new principal mistakes him for a teacher on the first day of school or when he convinces a car dealer to let him take a Porsche out on a test drive. But mostly it's just frustrating, being a kid trapped in an adult world. And so he decides to flip things around. Liam cons his way onto the first spaceship to take civilians into space, a special flight for a group of kids and an adult chaperone, and he is going as the adult chaperone. It's not long before Liam, along with his friends, is stuck between two worlds again—only this time he's 239,000 miles from home.
Frank Cottrell Boyce, author of Millions and Framed, brings us a funny and touching story of the many ways in which grown-upness is truly wasted on grown-ups.

Journal Entry-- a kid in a spaceship uses a phone or something to call his parents and tell them that he isn't in some program for the school because he lied about his age and got on a spaceship called the Infinite Possibility. It was supposed to be grown-ups only but while on that spaceship he realizes that every other person on the ship is his age and not a grown-up.

  5. But Liam should have asked for help because if he is a kid kids should not be shaving.

Four Friends on a nature hike discover a deep cave, complete with running water. As they go deeper and deeper into the cave, they find strange objects- human skeletons, an old computer from the early 80s, a gas mask, and a strange mango-sized orb that emit a glowing blue light. One of the friends named Nathan Drake takes out his journal and looks at the picture he drew of of a book and realized that the book he got this from was the history of the battle of Ciyra so he noticed that the gas mask was because the orbs light emit radiation so they ran out of the cave and told the police. 1 month later Nate's friend got cancer from the radiation and almost died he survived and they found out that the orb was from the lost city of Nym.

  7. I think that he lied about his age because he felt that he had more freedom that way, and that he liked being treated like an adult sometimes.

  9. I think shes acting like a princess because she may have gone crazy becuse she is hurting somewhere in space.

Maybe Florida has no fun because she doesn't want to be in space not knowing if you are going to come back home.

I don't know if there are really that many waterloos in the world

No I don't really think they will be good friends because they aren't that much alike.
