Thirteen-year-old Jonah has always known that he was adopted, and he's never thought it was any big deal. Then he and a new friend, Chip, who's also adoped, begin receiving mysterious letters. The first one says, "You are one of the missing." The second one says, "Beware! They're coming back to get you."
Jonah, Chip, and Jonah's sister, Katherine, are plunged into a mystery that involves the FBI, a vast smuggling operation, an airplane that appeared out of nowhere — and people who seem to appear and disappear at will. The kids discover they are caught in a battle between two opposing forces that want very different things for Jonah and Chip's lives.
Do Jonah and Chip have any choice in the matter? And what should they choose when both alternatives are horrifying?
With Found, Margaret Peterson Haddix begins a new series that promises to be every bit as suspenseful as her Shadow Childrenseries — which has sold more than 41/2 million copies — and proves her, once again, to be a master of the page-turner.

ReplyDeleteAlex:Literal question: What is the name of the woman when the book begins
Alex:Inferential question:Who keeps sending the notes
The post-it note might have been thrown away. If the plane ran into the airport the baby's would have been hurt. If there were pilots they would explain why they are here.
ReplyDeleteGood questions and answers.
ReplyDeleteAnswers: I don't know chip's real maybe it will be revealed later in the book. I don't know the ladies real name all they said is she is the front desk lady. I think that the people that sent the babies there are the people sending the notes or the F.B.I.
My questions are
ReplyDeleteInferential Questions: Why is Chip going crazy at Jonahs house? Are the notes directions for something?
Literal Questions: Is the sister going on an adventure with? Are they going on an adventure?
Inferential: Who is that ghost that Katherine saw? Literal: Why did Jonah throw up? How old is Jonah?
ReplyDeleteI don't know who the ghost was and I think Jonah throw up because he was scared and or he was dehydrated. Well in the begging they said they were in sixth grade so about our age.
ReplyDeleteJonah threw up because he drank too much Mountain Dew, the janitor gave it to him during the meeting with Mr.Reardon
DeleteChip is going crazy because he found out he was adopted. I don't know if the notes are directions they might just warnings. The sister might be going on a adventure with them. yes they are going on a adventure.
ReplyDeleteWhy did Chip's parents not tell him he was adopted? How will they know who sent the letters? How come Jonahs parents make him eat with the family? Will anybody get hurt?
ReplyDeleteWhere do they live? Whats chips last name? Who is Jonah really?
ReplyDeleteWho is Alex?
DeleteSomewhere in the U.S.A. Don't think it says One of the baby on the plane or an F.B.I. agent.
ReplyDeleteover all I thought the book was o.k. it really slow at the beginning
ReplyDeleteI know, right? It's interesting later on though.
DeleteChip's parents didn't tell him he was adopted because his dad didn't think it was a big deal. They will know who sent the letters because Angela will tell them what they need to know. Jonah's parents make him eat with the family because that is family time. I do not know if anybody will get hurt.
