In the Stone Circle by Elizabeth Kimmel

Cristyn Stone is unhappy about spending her summer in a small town in Wales while her father researches a book. The 16th-century stone house they are staying in holds a haunting secret. Strange noises, weird dreams, a girl ghost, and a mysterious connection to her late mother draw 14-year-old Cristyn deeper into the mystery.

    The ghost is haunting her because it wants to teach her about her mother

    I think she was scared at first but then she realizes that it's teaching her about her mom and she wants to know about her mom

    Cristyn said her father was really skeptical when it came to ghosts. He wouldn't have believed her.
