It's summer vacation, the weather's great, and all the kids are having fun outside. So where's Greg Heffley? Inside his house, playing video games with the shades drawn.
Greg, a self-confessed "indoor person," is living out his ultimate summer fantasy: no responsibilities and no rules. But Greg's mom has a different vision for an ideal summer... one packed with outdoor activities and "family togetherness."
Whose vision will win out? Or will a new addition to the Heffley family change everything?

In my book, Greg has summer vocation - the weather’s great, and almost all the kids are outside having fun...everyone except except Greg Heffley. You see, he’s more of an indoor person playing video games, and watching TV, which for him is a perfect summer. So while he is planning to do that and happy that his birthday is coming and it would go as planned finally, his mom, however, has better plans for a “perfect” summer. Will Greg get his version of a perfect summer playing video games? Will Greg get what he wants on his birthday? Read to find out in this funny book where Greg is always having a problem, and his family have a hard time with each other!
