This book is about a kid who plays hocke yand is good but his skates are too big his name is Pie. He is on a team and he trips over his skates alot and this kid on his line gets really mad everytime because pie always (supposedly) messes him up. Pie has big skates because his brother is a hockey player and he gets all his hand-me downs and there all big because his brother is in collage. He has these younger twins next door to him and they come to almost every game of Pie’s. But they have this ‘Magic’ little table hockey set that they found in their attic and it’s home-made. They played the game once before one of Pie’s games and they make one team Pie’s team and the other side the other team. * * * * * * * * * So the next day at Pie’s game the score comes out the same as the way the table hockey game did. This happens acouple more times. After awhile Pie and his line mate become friends because Pie saves his cat. They are a really good line together.
I’d give this book a 10 because it keeps me interested the WHOLE book, and it makes me want to skate and it makes me love the sport even more than I do now! --Hannah:) :] :P
It is about a boy named Pie. He plays on a hockey team, the Penguins. His friends, the twins, find a toy hockey game and when the one that had their team represent the Penguins scored, Pie scored in his next hockey game. Everything that happened in the toy hockey game happened in the real game that Sunday. This happened every time they played the toy hockey game. They found a paper on the bottom. It had like a spell on. They had no idea what it meant. In one of the toy hockey games, the player that represented Pie wouldn’t move. Then in the next real game, Pie got hit really hard, so he laid on the ice for a while. When he went to his friends house again, they figured out what the piece of paper meant.
I recommend this book because it is kind of mysterious and surprising. It is also well written and interesting. As well as entertaining. These are only a few of the reasons I like this book. -Joseph
